ODC Logistics Export for Millennium Grease & Lubricants Manufacturing LLC

CASE STUDY
POSTED ON 29.06.2026

Millennium Grease & Lubricants Manufacturing LLC partnered with Isa Logistics to manage the export of over-dimensional industrial equipment from Chakan to its international destination. From factory pickup and road permits to customs clearance, CFS handling, and vessel loading at Nhava Sheva, Isa delivered an end-to-end solution.

The Brief

Millennium Grease & Lubricants Manufacturing LLC needed to export heavy industrial equipment from Chakan, Pune. The cargo was over-width and over-height (3x40FR + 3x40OT)

They wanted one company to handle everything: pick it up from the factory, move it on the road, clear customs at Nhava Sheva, manage CFS operations, and load it onto the vessel. No handoffs between vendors, no coordination gaps.

They spent 40 days talking to multiple logistics providers before choosing Isa Logistics.

The Challenges

The dimensions of ODC  creates extra requirements at every stage:road transit, CFS handling, and port operations all needed planning that goes well beyond a standard export.

  1. For the road leg, special transport permits had to be obtained before the cargo could move, so this had to be sorted well in advance.

  2. The container mix added another layer. Six containers across two types - three flat-racks and three open-tops, each needed its own stuffing plan. Vessel space was another constraint. ODC cargo transport of this kind needs to be booked early. Carriers don't always have the right equipment available, and waiting until cargo is ready to book is a risk.

  3. On top of the operational complexity, the pricing environment was genuinely difficult. Geopolitical conditions, limited vessel space, and CFS availability all made it harder to put a competitive number on the table without cutting corners somewhere.

How Isa Handled It

Isa took on the full scope factory pickup from Shreesamarth Tech Process Engineering in Chakan, road permits and escorts for heavy cargo movement customs clearance at Nhava Sheva through our in-house CHA team, CFS handling, and final vessel loading.

Everything from transporters, surveyors, escort teams, CHA, and the port terminal authority was coordinated internally. The client had one point of contact throughout.

Stuffing plans for all six containers were worked out before the cargo left the factory. Vessel space was secured early. The in-house CFS team handled documentation directly, which kept the customs process moving without waiting on third parties.

This is what Isa had spent years building with the client enough operational trust that when they put options on the table during the negotiation, the client believed the numbers and the plan behind them.

The Outcome

All six containers were loaded onto the vessel at Nhava Sheva without reported delays or compliance issues. The shipment moved through all five stages: pickup, road transit, customs, CFS, and vessel loading as planned.

The client's requirements were met: cost kept within expectations, cargo handled without damage, and documentation clean throughout.

Why It Matters

Over-dimension exports at this scale - six specialized containers, five operational stages, one integrated team comes with years of building the right capabilities.

Project cargo logistics that goes beyond a pitch deck.
